After 15 years we decided it was time to freshen up with a new brand and a new website but give the same great service we have always offered.

Quinns is now the trading name of K.J.Quinn Services Ltd. It was inspired by you, our customers, as you’ve always referred to us as Quinns so we decided it was time to join in!

We felt it was time to modernise the look and feel of the business without changing any of our services, in fact we offer more than ever before as our business and expertise grows. So we worked with a local agency to rebrand, change the logo and design our new website. You’ve probably already seen the new company vans out and about but there are still a handful carrying the old signage which will be changed in the coming weeks.

The company itself hasn’t changed as it’s still the same Limited company you’ve always dealt with. We hope you like our new look and we welcome any feedback.

“Your mechanical team under Derek’s leadership is nothing short of impressive. I am very pleased with the high standard of workmanship, also the conduct of your engineers on site was impeccable and very professional. The working environment was quite challenging at times, however K J Quinn took it all in their stride”.

Let’s Talk Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is at the back of most people’s minds but when the electricity bill comes in, a lot of us frantically start turning lights off and the heating down. This is all well and good but when that initial shock of the bill wears off, we are most of us guilty of forgetting to switch off around the house. If you run a business, it is even more important to try and keep your energy costs down as employees are generally much less aware of energy consumption in their workplace. So how can we help you put in place some modern solutions to this age-old problem?

Switch to LED

Switching to LED light bulbs will bring with it significant energy savings over the alternative options of fluorescent, incandescent and halogen. On average LED’s consume 80% less energy when compared with incandescent bulbs. The initial outlay to purchase an LED bulb is slightly higher, the payback in running costs far outweigh this. As an example, if you have 10 x 40w bulbs in your home in use for an average of 4 hours per day, the annual cost would be £81.76 (based on the average cost of electricity being £0.14/kWh) Using the 4W LED equivalent that outputs the same amount of light, the annual costs would be only £8.18. In addition to this, the lifespan of an LED is 20,000 hours compared to the incandescent bulbs 1000 hours. This is an example of the savings to be made by switching to LED in your home, imagine the saving if you switched your business to LED. We can discuss your lighting needs with you and show you the stylish LED light fitting options for your business. We can work with our suppliers to come up with a suitable lighting design for your project and our experienced engineers will install everything to the highest standard.

Install Motion Sensor’s

Why even have the lights on at all if no-one’s around? Let us install some PIR motion sensors so that you don’t have to rely on the staff remembering to turn the lights off when they leave at night. The lights will automatically turn off when there’s no one in the room and you can watch your energy bills come down.

Upgrade your boiler

The Energy Saving Trust tells us that “heating accounts for around 55% of what you spend in a year on energy bills”. So an efficient boiler will make a significant impact on your energy usage and in turn, your bills. Whether you just need a new boiler in your home or you need an entire plantroom upgrade, our expert team of mechanical and GasSafe engineers can help. We can work with our suppliers to design a system to suit your needs and get it installed efficiently and to an excellent standard. We will ensure everything installed complies with all current regulations and standards and we’ll prioritise energy consumption when designing the system so your bills will reduce.

mechanical and electrical install rosebourne garden centre

Rosebourne Garden Centre in Aldermaston is officially open after 6 months of hard work from our whole team delivering the mechanical and electrical install. The store features a restaurant, food hall, butchers and a garden nursery. Our team designed and installed all the plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical elements to this build.

We are proud of what we achieved on this project and it was really good to share in the excitement as our several Quinn’s representatives attended the Grand Opening Weekend with the ribbon cutting being carried out by Strictly star Craig Revel Horwood. It’s unusual for us to have projects that end with a grand opening ceremony as we are usually working on industrial premises or secure sites. So it was refreshing to see the fruits of our labour being enjoyed by the general public.

The project went so well in fact, that we have been approached by the main contractor again to work on the next Rosebourne Garden Centre construction at Solihull. We are always delighted when we get return customers but especially on high profile projects such as this. It’ll be great to have another Rosebourne to work on and the whole Quinns team are looking forward to getting started.
